Australian Bahá’í Choral Festival
The Bahá'í Choral Festival attracts singers from across Australia to sing in the acoustically spectacular Bahá'í Temple, an Ingleside icon looking down on the city’s northern beaches. The choir will perform sacred music a cappella (unaccompanied by instruments) in seven languages, including English, Maori, French, Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, and Persian. Interspersed between the songs will be prayers and readings from the world’s major religions.
Four conductors will lead the choir, including Festival Music Director Lorraine Manifold, from Melbourne. The concert will feature four world premiere performances, and eight songs composed by Festival participants. This one of a kind devotional concert is not to be missed!
